Sweden has taken it upon themselves to deal with refugees in a humane manner. Australia should take a leaf out of their book rather than the cruel treatment we dole out to genuine asylum seekers.

Basically, big-budget business has convinced the world the climate change is not real or has no bearing. We will pay for this in the years to come.

You see so many photos of world-renowned landmarks but these shots show them in context with the places they are in. Well worth a look.

I've said it before: The best thing the Coalition can do is belt Labor a bit by talking up how the NBN was badly managed under their (Labor's) rule; but then man up and admit it is a good idea and just get it done. That would be real political leadership.

I totally agree. While it is fair to blame your predecessor for their faults their comes a time when you must do your job. That's what the Abbott government isn't doing right now - especially with the royally screwed ex-NBN project.

First: the Telstra copper network is on the way out.

Second: NBN (over fibre) is the way of the future - it will deliver broadband equity and new services.

Now: Copper is fine for everyone.

Clearly he has to play the political game but this is hypocrisy in action.

In Brisbane - a driver being impatient basically runs over a guy on a bike. Who does that? So you're impatient and running late - is it worth someone's life? What if a driver did that to your husband/wife/son/daughter/brother or you? How would you feel.

Time to share the road, peeps.

Of course, all scientific research you read on the Internet must be true - but who hasn't used the five second rule as a guide for eating food you've dropped? As long as you think the floor is clean...

This is an interesting proposal. I'm no fan of the coal industry - or any other industry that creates significant amount of pollution - so why not shut it down and push other cleaner technologies?

I've been saying this quietly for some time - every young software developer wants to be the next Facebook or Twitter. But there are far more interesting and valuable (to the population as a whole) problems to solve. But they aren't cool enough.

If you could put a rubber duck anywhere and anytime in history - what would you do?

I'd put one next to the lunar lander (Eagle) of Apollo 11 just before the astronauts get out.
